Central Coast Interclub Teams Competition 2001
The Central Coast Interclub Teams Competition uses a rating cap of 6000 rating points per team
so that teams of players with a range of ratings can play together. Mingara Dominates local Chess competition

Having a very good start, the ‘A’ side from Mingara only faltered slightly against the smaller clubs if tying matches can be said to be faltering. To win this years Interclub competition.
Gosford A recovered well from a poor start but needed to score heavily in the latter rounds, Both teams won 3 of their 5 matches and while Mingara drawing the other 2; Gosford A drew and lost. When they met each other Mingara emerged triumphant 4 nil.
The smaller clubs (Ettalong and the White Knights of Toukley) kept pace with each other in a race for second, and in fact Toukley had a chance to snatch clear 2nd if they won 3:1 in their very last match a point less meant fourth place however.
