Mingara May Major 2003
Kevin O'Chee is $600 richer and adds the Mingara May
Major under 2000 to his list of tournament wins ( he shared first at Toukley in
March) Kevin dropped only half a point to Gideon Bratten in the 5th round.
The player with the most upset wins of the tournament was ten year old Max
Illingworth who defeated two players rated more than 500 points above him.
Second place was shared by Mike Van Renen and George Winter on 5/6.The under
1800 prizes were shared by Bernie O'Riordan and Ian Dickson.The under 1600
prizes went to Gideon Bratten, Sebastian Jurd
and Clint Daniel. The under 1400 prizes were shared by Harvey
Adams, William Adams and Tony Baldwin. Max Illingworth took 1st place
under 1200 Lloyd R Fell was equal second under
1200. Andrew Brown won the prize for best Junior under
12. Ben Guest won the best Junior under 18 prize. Jason Tyler
won the unrated prize.
