Mingara Chess Club held its presentation night in the Scallywags Restaurant at Mingara. Thirty plus people attended the presentation. A good time was had by all.

Hani Malik took a first and a second place from the two tournaments he
played in this year before moving back to Sydney to live, he will be
missed at the club.

John Nutter cleaned up with 6 firsts and 2 seconds winning the Club
Championships and the Allegro Championship

Langstone was equal 1st in the Mingara Points Handicap Tournament and 2nd in
Div2 of the Club Championships.
Stephen Lofts was equal second in the Mingara Lightning Championships.
Val Velyvis scored 3 firsts and a second including equal 1st in the Mingara
Rapid Play Championship and equal 1st place in division
1 of the Club Championships.
